Flight for Life Poker Run 2008
This year's Poker Run was a great
success. This year we raised over $4,000 for Flight for Life, with about
half
of it coming from the Silent Auction. There were fewer folks working it,
fewer riders, but ... it was cold, Berthoud Pass had been closed the day before
... and the Trail Blazers ran it with a little help from some Mile-Hi members.
It was a lot of extra work having the Silent Auction going on at the same time
as hand registration, lunch and clean-up efforts, but it was well worth it.
Hope you got what you wanted. If not, maybe you'll get it next year.
Wild
Bill of the Mile-Hi club held this year's winning hand -- a full house, Aces
high. There was a brief conference at the podium, but it was quickly
resolved, then the "Walking Juke Box" resumed our entertainment.

There were some fun moments during the door-prize drawings ... Dan Lewis got a six-pack of new balls . . . . . golf balls, golf balls.
I'm hoping to get some photos from the activities earlier in the day. I got home from out-of-state in time for the Social, but missed all the rest. I'll post more photos when I get them. If you have any you can contribute ... let me know.
